A luxurious set that includes Shizuoka's soul food, deep-fried black hanpen, fragrant ochazuke (tea over rice), and your choice of Shizuoka's local sake "Hatsukame" or Warashina tea.
[Deep-Fried Black Hanpen]
Black hanpen, a beloved delicacy in Shizuoka, is
deep-fried and served with sauce from "Torii Sauce," a
long-established sauce manufacturer in Shizuoka since 1924.
You can choose between "Usutā Sōsu" (Worcestershire sauce) for
a light taste or "Chūnō Sōsu" (medium-thick sauce) for a rich
and bold flavor. The fine and crispy coating pairs excellently
with the sauce, and you may find yourself torn between which
sauce to use, or you can try both in small portions for a
taste comparison.
[Ochazuke]
After enjoying the black hanpen, savor the refreshing
ochazuke. The flavorful tea-based ochazuke is both light and
rich in taste. You can enhance the flavor further by adding
wasabi according to your preference.
[Choice of "Hatsukame" Sake or Warashina Tea]
Choose between "Hatsukame," a sake from Hatsukame Sake
Brewery, one of the oldest sake breweries in Shizuoka
established in 1636, known for its fruity aroma and the
richness of rice flavor. Alternatively, you can select
Warashina tea, which is produced in the Ashikawa River basin,
a tributary of the Abe River in Shizuoka City. Despite being
located in the renowned tea kingdom of Shizuoka, Warashina tea
is considered an exceptional tea with a separate reputation,
earning the trust of tea connoisseurs for its unique
qualities.
